Morak, The Destroyer!
Oh dear, where to begin? I laughed pretty hard with that sequence where the guy’s about to commit suicide and then calls it off because he’s running late for work. But this film is not a comedy. It’s an alledged shock feature that seems to start off as a tame rape/revenge kind of deal, but very quickly heads off in a slightly more supernatural direction, doing anything but firmly pedalling along. “Some guy with a strange face is looking for you to kill you.”
Chris Mitchum (son of legendary actor Robert Mitchum) is Ricco Avasi; a fresh from prison parolee who comes home to find out that his gangster father has been whacked and his woman Rosa (Marisa Longo) is with another man. The sonofabitch behind it all is Don Vito (Arthur Kennedy) and he has no idea the kind of hell he has brought on himself by messing with the MEAN MACHINE. So full of vengeance that it looks like he is sleepwalking, Ricco travels to Rome to find the bastards that screwed up his life. He eventually teams up with an old counterfeiter and his often-naked daughter (Barbara Bouchet) to exact his revenge in this Italian/Spanish co-production.

Aka title: Class Reunion Massacre
By the doubling of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.
From a dark lake filling the bottom of an abandoned quarry rises a little boy (Christopher Flint) who then catches a bus. This startling scene, though almost disconnected from the bulk of the film, show us that we’re in for something unusual. While a group of jerkoffs at a high-school reunion getting bumped off isn’t entirely original, this one tries to be something different by having the killer be something far from the norm…. (more…)
