Director: this project was a loose cannon

Release year: 2009
What was I thinking…
Thinking it would be a a piece of cake giving every single film we watched at the 27th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival a treatment on our site. I sure underestimated the amount of work that would go into this crazy idea. So it took a bit more time and effort than I at first anticipated to get this overview completed…
But finally, we wrapped it up. Mission accomplished! Now, we didn’t watch every single film screened at the festival, of course. Would have been a bonkers undertaking for the two of us. But we did manage to watch and review 47 movies.
So here it is, our BIFFF 2009 overview. Some movies have a dual-review, some a full length review and others received mini-review treatments. Numerous stills and trailers included (mini-reviews contain no trailers). Plus, there’s a little photo gallery on the Festiv’Art exposition (at the bottom of the main page, downscrolling the poster art).
About navigating the main page:
Click big posters for full movie reviews.
Click small posters to enlarge. Small posters indicate mini-reviews.
Click yellow dates for overviews by day (2 upto 12, excluding DAY 5 & 11), revealing mini-reviews.
And to make things totally easy, here are links to all mini-reviews to be found (as viewed chronologically at the festival):
Full length reviews of selected films evidently to be found by clicking the bigger posters on the BIFFF 2009 main page.
Reviews contain no spoilers, unless indicated or covered up.
A big thank you to my movie-buddy Coventry for the fine reviews he contributed.
Sincerely,
-VG.
