Interesting to watch.
Director Tinto Brass has created a film that I will never, to my last dying breath, ever understand. This is pegged as a “surreal cult classic” and it most surely was surreal and has enough bizarre and incredibly sensational scenes full of artistic shots. In addition, a warped scenario featuring random mind-fuck sets in which I truly had no idea what the hell was going on. Seriously, Brass himself could explain each scene as I viewed it and I would still never “get it”.

The bus transporting a schoolgirl choir breaks down in the woods at the same time a quartet of maniacs has broken loose from their LSD “dream therapy.” Those maniacs become very happy to have a nice cache of nubile victims since the dream therapy was presented to them as a way that they could satisfy their desires and, thus, heal their various psychoses….

A boarding school is plagued by grisly murders. Cult director Jess Franco, with his inimitable ways of poor or artistic taste – you be the judge of that – gives us his take on the late 70′s/early 80′s whodunit slasher format.
In August 1975, after a long production period full of struggles, ‘Sasqua’ had its theatrical release in the USA. Shortly after, however, the film vanished into obscurity. The film never received distribution on VHS or DVD and along the years became as much a mystery as the legendary Sasquatch creature it tells the tale of. Another forgotten film that seems untraceable? Not quite so, as things have surfaced and the beast has reared its head again…
