In order to live, they will take you one by one … and no one will hear you scream!
A woman in search of her father arrives in a strange town with the help of his increasingly disturbing letters. I won’t spoil anything by saying this is a zombie film, but it’s not your run of the mill fast-paced zombie horror either. But that isn’t a bad thing.

If you’re interested in the new Scorsese film Shutter Island coming out next month, here’s your chance to ask a question to Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio about it. You’ll have to use Twitter but it seems everyone and their dog has an account nowadays so that probably won’t be a problem. Just use the hashtags #AskLeo or #AskScorsese and ask your question.
Friday the five best questions will be selected by Paramount and, ofcourse, answered by DiCaprio and Scorsese. Only a few days left, so get to asking your questions.

Just so you know, we are always looking for quality reviewers / contributers here at Cult Reviews. Not only reviews but someone to take care of this very News section. Other new ideas are always welcomed too of course.
Or as I said a few months ago:
We are looking for new contributors to the site. Whatever your interests, 80′s slashers, 50′s science fiction, 20′s silent movies, more recent cult movies, saucy exploitation, groovy blaxploitation, horribly overdubbed giallo, arty-farty european movies, dwarfsploitation, cult music,… As long as it has some cult-vibe.
It doesn’t have to be reviews either, if you have some great idea please enlighten and join us. Things like our shock endings, specials about the use of phallic spaceships in fifties sci-fi, the most horrible death-scenes, most violent head explosions, use of the occult in horror, strangest use for a piece of fruit award,… You get the picture.
Sign up now for fame and glory!
If you’re interested, please contact us or reply to this post.

Director: Tinto Brass
Writer: Tinto Brass, Gian Carlo Fusco, Franco Longo and Gigi Proietti
Release year: 1970
Italian title: L’Urlo
Interesting to watch.
Director Tinto Brass has created a film that I will never, to my last dying breath, ever understand. This is pegged as a “surreal cult classic” and it most surely was surreal and has enough bizarre and incredibly sensational scenes full of artistic shots. In addition, a warped scenario featuring random mind-fuck sets in which I truly had no idea what the hell was going on. Seriously, Brass himself could explain each scene as I viewed it and I would still never “get it”.

A jolly good time!
The bus transporting a schoolgirl choir breaks down in the woods at the same time a quartet of maniacs has broken loose from their LSD “dream therapy.” Those maniacs become very happy to have a nice cache of nubile victims since the dream therapy was presented to them as a way that they could satisfy their desires and, thus, heal their various psychoses….
