La Chute de la Maison Usher
Director: Jean Epstein
Writers: Edgar Allan Poe (story), Luis Buñuel (adaptation), Jean Epstein (writer)
Release Year: 1928
Again a very atmospheric avant-garde movie from the same year. It’s a very loose adaptation of Poe’s original story, more like a combination of different Poe stories woven into a fantastic little experimental movie that’s very nightmarish and dream-like.
Again, excuse the watermark, and the irritating spanish subtitles. But enjoy the wonderful Frenchness of the narrator.
