I normally dislike parodies and most indie movies, but this one is an exception to the rule. Star Wreck is a no-budget movie featuring effects that can rival Hollywood blockbusters and certainly beats them in terms of wit, story, humour and, well, everything else. Except maybe the acting from some of the less important characters but that’s to be expected when they’re mostly friends and relatives.
Now, what else to say? It’s a comedy, it’s better than Star Trek, very impressive space battles that George Lucas should be jealous off, has some very interesting characters and why aren’t you watching it.
Gets the in this instant made up Cult Reviews Award for Most Expensive and Professional Looking Film without Funding (the CRAMEPLFF). I’d make a BMP web-award thingie in MS Paint for it if I had no taste and lived in the nineties.
