Boris Arkadin (Jeroen Krabbé) is a horror director who lost his pregnant wife to an attack by a group of fans who wanted to replicate part of one of his films; his son survived an amateur caesarian. This left him less interested in making another horror film and he faded into hermitage. Years later, Arkadin is making a new film, and so casts eager young things Wendy Jones (Lisa Enos), Jack (Joe Reegan), Pamela (Teri Harrison), and Matt Drazin (Sharif Rosales-Webb)….

Spider baby or, the maddest story ever told   offscreen 2008 mini logo comedySeeing Spider Baby on the big screen is a quite unique experience, since there aren’t that much 35-mm copies in good condition left of this movie. For the Offscreen Festival screening last year (2008), Jack Hill provided a print out of his private collection, for which we thank him heartily. Spider Baby is a black & white sixties treasure filled with demented humor and grotesque terror, dealing with rather bizarre family values.

Government chick Alice Cable (Adrienne Barbeau) is assigned to protect research scientist Dr. Alec Holland (Ray Wise) and his sister Dr. Linda Holland (Nannette Brown) and their plant research from the evil Dr. Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan). Dr. Arcane – what a stupid name – want this research because … I guess … he’s evil, and evil guys need plant research. When Ferret (David Hess) and his mercenaries screw up the snatch of the research, Dr. Alec Holland gets turned into a monstrous thing of the swamp called SWAMP THING!!!!
