Bad Biology coming to DVD

Saturday, February 21st, 2009 by Sterf

Bad Biology coming to DVD badbiology poster 150x150 news The story of a nymphomaniac’s search for sexual fulfillment. A nymphomaniac with 7 clits, that is. Lots of gore and nudity to be expected, and coming to DVD in the UK on March 2nd. From director Frank Henenlotter, who directed such movies as Basket Case, Brain Damage and Frankenhooker.

While deformed genital horror was already done in the movie Teeth(reviewed here), this one seems more focused on actual horror (and not to forget, more nudity).

Plot goes like this: “Driven by biological excess, a young man and woman search for sexual fulfillment, unaware of each other’s existence. Unfortunately, they eventually meet, and the bonding of these two very unusual human beings ends in an explosive and ultimately over-the-top sexual experience, resulting in a truly godawful love story…. With bizarre special effects by Gabe Bartalos, a hip-hop soundtrack from Prince Paul, and shot in glorious 35mm, BAD BIOLOGY is guaranteed to shock even the most desensitized of audiences, and sure to become a modern cult classic.”

Zombie wine hits the market

Friday, February 20th, 2009 by Sterf

Zombie wine hits the market livingred1 300x258 news Redhead’s Studio is coming out with…zombie themed wine, called Return of the Living Red.

This is what they say about it:  “Mash has been involved with a variety of packaging and branding projects with Redheads Studio of McLaren Vale. At the top end of their fine wines is the ‘Return of the Living Red’. Packaging needed the usual unique Redheads touch. As this wine is non-vintage it has no age (the 2 grape varieties coming from different vintages). This was a complex fine wine with no listed age; a mysterious and intriguing wine. To compliment this the nature of the product, Mash developed a concept to create a small pack containing missing and/or suppressed crime files implying the existence of the living dead in and around the vineyards. With use of disturbing illustrations and fascinating old photos on a toothy uncoated paper the concept was bought to life. A slip knot with old twine and a deep red wax dipped bottle went with the old crime file folder to create one of our favorite wine packaging pieces.

Maybe it’s just me, but don’t wake me until they come up with a horror-themed scotch.

Albino’s and Pig People

Friday, February 20th, 2009 by Sterf

Albinos and Pig People albino news No, not in the same flick. Just reporting that soon two new movies will be coming out that sound kinda interesting.

First one being The Pig People which deals with, you guessed it, pig people and stars with such names as Master P. and Lil’ Romeo. I’m not sure I’m supposed to know these names, but I’m more interested in the pigs mutant folk. The plot involves haunted forests, half human half swine mutants, and of course a group of unsuspecting students.

The other flick is called Albino Farm and is about a community of redneck genetically mutated albino’s and what seems to be a must in movies involving mutants, a group of unsuspecting students of course. Coming to a North-American DVD near you somewhere this year.

Which makes me think a movie combining the two might be not a bad idea. Albino Redneck Mutants vs The Pig People (and a group of unsuspecting students) definately sounds like something I’d want to watch.

First official [REC] 2 trailer rec2 209x300 news

As the title says, first [REC] 2 trailer is here. The official one that is.

Personally I don’t really like the hyperactive Blair Witch Project style of filming, but a lot of people seem to. Gives me a headache.

So here it is. The trailer. Watch it I guess. If you really want to.
